Layne Kennedy is an assignment and editorial photographer who is known for creating images that convey a strong sense of place. His work has been published in books and magazines all over the world, including Newsweek, National Geographic, Forbes, Sports Illustrated, and many others. He has also published his own books on such topics as the state of Minnesota, the Minnesota Boundary Waters region, and Iceland.

Layne has been teaching and providing photo workshops for more than 25 years, and his work is represented by the Getty Stock Photo Agency.
