Please join us as we shoot the stars at the Bridgewater State University observatory in Bridgewater, MA.
Read on, and if you plan to attend, email Dan. Space is limited!
The event will start at 6:15pm with a talk on how and where in the sky we should be shooting. At about 7:00pm we will be going to the observatory deck where we will be able to attach our cameras to the various telescopes available to us.
Don’t have adapters? Don’t worry! Adapters will be available but the amount is limited. If you would like to purchase your own for this event and any future endeavors, please visit any of the below links to purchase all the necessary parts.
For use with most of the BSU observatory telescopes, you'll want the end that attaches to the telescope to be 1.25". There are, however, a few scopes that can use 2" adapters however; they don't take those out as much.
Here are some examples:
Here's a modular complete kit--you can choose what camera you have from a drop-down menu so that you get the correct T-ring along with the kit to attach it to the scope (1.25"): https://www.telescopeadapters.com/best-sellers/521-deluxe-astrophotography-kit-125.html?gclid=Cj0KCQiAhKviBRCNARIsAAGZ7Cf4ggcK2Q0PBvqvqp_lu4UVsMuHAPHSUy1yUBavfYTEw_y7XjOXbaMaAql5EALw_wcB
For folks who prefer Amazon, here's a complete kit for Canon EOS to attach to a 1.25" opening:

Here's just the adapter itself from Blue Fireball (doesn't include the T-ring for the specific camera). The T-ring can be purchased separately: https://agenaastro.com/blue-fireball-1-25-variable-eyepiece-projection-t-adapter.html
Here's an even simpler form of the adapter from Meade (the length isn't adjustable, so you have to focus entirely with the scope's focus knob): https://agenaastro.com/meade-basic-camera-adapter-07356.html
